Steps to Get PADI Certified

1. Choose the Right Certification Level

• PADI Open Water Diver (Beginner Level) – Ideal for beginners who want to dive up to 18 meters deep.

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver – For certified Open Water divers who want to explore depths of up to 30 meters.

• PADI Rescue Diver – For divers who want to learn underwater rescue techniques and emergency response.

• PADI Divemaster – A professional-level certification for those who want to become dive instructors.

2. Register at an Official Dive Center
Find a dive center affiliated with PADI, either in Indonesia or abroad. Popular certification destinations in Indonesia include Raja Ampat, Bali, Lombok, and Bunaken.

3. Take the Theory Class & E-Learning
You can study the theory online via PADI eLearning or attend in-person classes at the dive center. The course covers topics such as:

• Diving techniques and equipment usage

• Safety and diving procedures

• Pressure management and underwater physiology

4. Confined Water Training (Pool or Calm Waters)
Before diving in the ocean, you’ll practice basic scuba skills in a swimming pool or shallow water.

5. Open Water Dives
Complete four open water dives in the ocean with an instructor to apply the skills and knowledge you’ve learned.

6. Pass the Exam & Get Certified
After completing all training sessions, you must pass both written and practical exams to receive your official PADI certification.
